Highway to Opportunities (H2O), in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, is organising a major Jobs Fair event at Oldham Sports and Leisure Centre on Friday 30th January, 2009.
The Jobs Fair offers local jobseekers a great opportunity to speak directly with local employers about the many jobs available in the Oldham area. This year’s event will feature a variety of opportunities with a wide range of employers including: First Bus, Oldham Primary Care Trust, Greater Manchester Police, McDonalds.
This year’s event is open for everyone living in Oldham and surrounding areas, interested in getting back into work, changing career or getting some training.
The Jobs Fair will also feature a range of Oldham’s training providers including Groundwork, Work Solutions, and Shaw Trust.
H20 Director Jayne Entwistle comments; ‘Traditionally this time of year is when people tend to re evaluate their career paths, and in today’s climate we expect more people than ever to attend our jobs fair. What ever your situation this event will have people there that can help you, whether you are looking for work, a change of career, or to further your skills through training.’
Employers and specialist employment advisers will also be on hand to speak with people whose circumstances can act as an extra barrier to getting a suitable job.
There will also be a CV workshop for those looking for work but not sure how to contact employers.
